Trades Merchant was founded in 2020 by a group of homeowners and industry professionals who had all experienced, or witnessed, the stress and financial loss that comes from hiring the wrong tradesperson. We knew there had to be a better way.
Our founding team combined expertise in home improvement, online trust and safety, and consumer technology. Together, we set out to build a service that prioritises homeowner protection above all else — one where every tradesperson on our panel is thoroughly screened before being matched with a homeowner.
